LeRoy Physical Therapy & Village Fitness Announce Comeback Award Winners

LeRoy Physical Therapy and Village Fitness are proud to announce the winners of the 4th annual Scholarship Award and Comeback Award for 2008. These awards were recently presented to students from the Leroy, Byron-Bergen, and Pavilion Central School districts, with whom our organization partners to provide athletic training services during the school year. Each award consists of $100 cash award and a complimentary 3-month membership to Village Fitness in LeRoy.

The Comeback Awards are presented to student-athletes who have overcome adversity to make a meaningful contribution to their athletic teams. This year's winners were Matt Williams from LeRoy, Matt Starowitz from Byron-Bergen, and co-winners Heidi and Robert Dempsey from Pavilion.

Lauren Merica of LeRoy was also honored with a Scholarship Award as she pursues a career in physical therapy at Daemen College. Lauren works part-time at LeRoy Physical Therapy and Village Fitness as a receptionist and children’s program assistant. She receives a $250 allowance for textbooks during each semester she is enrolled in her academic program.

LeRoy Physical Therapy provides rehabilitation services, including aquatic physical therapy, with a specialty in orthopedic, sport, and work-related injuries. We coordinate the athletic training programs in each of these school districts. Village Fitness, integrated within our physical therapy facility, is LeRoy’s only full-service fitness facility which offers a variety of programming from youth to seniors, and is a proud participant in the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program.

Congratulations to the 2008 winners!
